Balasaheb Keshav Thackeray (23 Jan 1926 – 17 Nov 2012)

Kashmir Telegraph News Service

We at Kashmir Telegraph deeply mourn the sad demise of Balasaheb Thackeray, who championed the right and just cause of the people of Maharashtra and Hindustan for over four long decades.

Saheb singularly made stellar contributions towards the upliftment of common masses in Maharashtra and Hindustan.

Saheb was our father figure and his untimely demise has left a big void in our lives.

He was instrumental in instilling pride in us, as Hindus – we will truly miss him for a very, very long time.

Our prayers and thoughts are with his family and well wishers. May his soul rest in peace – pray to God to give all of us, who looked up to him, strength to overcome this tragic and terrible loss.

His appeal was not limited to Maharashtra or Mumbai alone – he was revered by Hindus across and length and breadth of the country – a Hindu Hradhay Samrath in true sense.

Saheb was deeply touched by the plight and misery of 700,000 Kashmiri Hindus – by taking care of their education, Sahib made sure, this ethnic minority was given a second chance to lead their lives with respect and dignity.

Saheb, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you and Shiv Sena for what you’ve done for Maharashtra and Hindustan.

Rest-in-Peace!
